yeah it has to be, i recently purchsed the WiiMote charger and i left it plugged in for 3 hours and it hadnt charged, it really ticked me off, its the same for the WiiFit Board but you may aswell keep that plugged in, when your playin it</description>

For any device, if the power isn&#039;t on, its USB ports are not putting out power to whatever&#039;s connected to it.

I have that problem with I  have my iPod connected to my laptop and it goes into sleep mode.  If I leave my iPod on overnight and this happens, I wake up to a sleeping lapto and a power-drained iPod :)</description>
