Here I am comparing the PS3 Slim to a newer model 80GB Playstation 3. I ran both consoles for 2 hours each and separately too, not simultaneously. I wanted to make sure the room would cool down to the same temperature before starting up the next system.

I didn’t turn it off from the back alot. Mainly when I moved it from my theater to my room upstairs. I did this quite frequently, so that probably killed it. Damn.

I had a 60 gig for a year and a half. As soon as I got NCAA 09 she started freezing. Somewhere between 5-10 times. Soon after that she got ylod. I still don’t have another ps3 and its been almost a year. I will get a slim soon tho. Recently I’ve been feening to play a ps3, I loved MGS4 and I really want to get CODMW2
the 60 GB have no bugs . I love she she is perfect . the slim frozen more than the 60GB . My 60 GB PS3 is since march 2007 only frozen 3-5 times . She s the best
no i understand that part but thats not what im talking about!! im talking about the hardware its self like the processor and gpu like the fact that its faster and doesn’t have many bugs like it used to. your talking about something way different.
i have had the 60 gig for 2 years, got i for my birthday, and this birthday i bought a 250 gig slim bundled with fifa 10 for my birthday. the fat one looks the best, but the slim is not bad either. if you can afford it, go for both. and yes, we in norway got the 250 version before the US. almost a month earlier. finally we got something before you 
Yeah they are. They just aren’t manufactured anymore. You can still go to most of your retailers and find a Uncharted bundle, 80GB Fat, or go to GameStop and buy a old used fat model.

Well yes but newer, especially in this case, doesn’t mean it’s better. The parts in the slim are just cheaper and smaller. They are more efficient when it comes to using power but Sony did everything they could to give the console a makeover and making it as cheap as possible at the same time. The parts in the 60GB work better and are more expensive but there was some poor design choices when they made that. As with any console, the newer versions always end up failing the most.
im not talking about that, klinge1993 said that the 60gb model hardware is better then the slims and knowing that the hardware on those previous systems are older. The slim is obviously new and has a newer hardware version and has been updated. sony dosent just make a system and put the same old shit in it, they always change up the hardware!
60GB was horribly built, but that was brand new hardware. We’re talking about the last fat models, the 40GB and 80GB.
